Vetting

Vetting application records and monitors the inspections performed by the oil majors on tanker vessels.

Main Features

  • All stages of inspection are being recorded in the application form:
    • Vessel, Major, application date & requested port for inspection.
    • Availability to inspect, inspector and place & date of inspection.
    • Receive reports from OCIMF and response to SIRE (send by & date).
    • Approval or not from major and expiry date.
  • Code of Question (selection from SIRE Vessel Inspection Questionnaires) and Inspector comments are being registered for every deficiency.
  • Comments from master, inspector evaluation form from master and other documents related to the inspection can be attached to the application form.
  • The superintended registers the answer for everydeficiency and can upload the answers that have been registered for the same question, in previous inspections.
  • The deficiencies are closed by responsible or can be defined to be closed during next DD. Also can be marked for review purposes.
  • Automatic creation and distribution to the vessels of cumulative lists of findings of inspections. All cumulative lists of findings are archived for history purposes.

Monitoring / Performance

Monitoring of inspection

  • Status of approvals for a group of vessels & majors in a combined report.
  • Scheduled plan and the vetting inspections in progress.
  • In a combined report are present Outstanding deficiencies based on due date and inspections closed to be expired for all vessels or specific fleet.
  • History of inspections & deficiencies based on multiple criteria.

Vetting Performance Analysis/KPIs

  • Successful & unsuccessful inspections per Major or Vessel and average deficiencies per inspection. The same information is generated for the entire fleet.
  • Analysis of findings per VIQ chapter & question.
  • Deficiencies’ Route cause analysis.
  • Statistic analysis in a specific period of Successful & Unsuccessful inspections and average deficiencies per inspection, per Superintendent, Master, Ch. Engineer and Vetting Inspector.
  • Comparison of Vetting inspections & Internal vetting inspections based on VIQ check list.

Other Features

Preparation of inspection/Update the vessels with findings

  • Analysis of inspections of findings per VIQ chapter & Question from invited inspector.
  • Master’s evaluation forms for invited inspector.
  • Auto creation list with the items to be reviewed is populated and sent to the vessel to remind the pendencies.
  • Follow up of pending deficiencies that have to be closed or reviewed.

Security / Audit

  • Permissions are implementing to the users in order to control the actions that they can execute to the system.
  • Locks in order to prevent changes in reports for inspections that have already being sent to majors. Only authorized user (super user) can unlock the case in order to implement the required changes.
  • The superintendent is assigned with user’s role in the system to maintenance inspections & deficiencies, only in the vessels he is responsible for.
